About Me

I’m Jordana Sherman, and if you’ve been here before, you might remember me as the author of PushingForty. As the new name suggests, that particular milestone is now firmly in the rear-view mirror. Pushing Fitty is the next chapter of that journey.

I’ve spent 25 years living and breathing health and fitness, experimenting with more exercise regimens, protocols, and wellness trends than I can reasonably count. My goal now is the same as it’s always been: to share those learnings with women, especially those 40 and beyond, who refuse to slow down.

But let’s be clear: this isn’t a platform for "infinite wisdom." A lot of what you’ll find here are my own perspectives and insight flashes based on real-life experiences. Candid is my default setting and "unfiltered" is my modus operandi. You won’t find glossy perfection here; you’ll find the truth about what it takes to stay strong as the numbers climb.

Because of that, you won’t find me trying to “influence” in the traditional sense. While I’ll still be on LinkedIn for the corporate side of things and perhaps Facebook as before, performing for Instagram or TikTok isn’t natural for me. Frankly, my life isn’t curated enough to make that interesting, nor do I want to be on constant display. I’d rather focus on the work: science-backed training, health protocols, and candid reflections on the parallels between professional performance and personal well-being. If you see photos or videos of me, it will be because they serve a specific fitness skill or insight, not because I’m chasing an algorithm.

While most of my posts focus on health and fitness, I also believe that how we move is how we live. You’ll see me "thinking out loud" about my professional life and the lessons learned in the corporate world that parallel the wellness space.

We’ve all heard it before: women are not just small men. As we age, things undeniably get harder and the "rules" change. I’m here to share those tales, warts and all, to help other women navigate their own journeys with a bit more clarity and a lot more strength.

If you’re still pushing, you’re in the right place.
